Princess Astrid is Former King Albert and Queen Paola's second born and only daughter. She was born in Brussel on June 5th 1962
She is the younger sister to the current Belgian monarch, King Philippe.
She is married to His Imperial & Royal Highness Prince Lorenz of Belgium, head of the Austria-Este branch of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine in Brussels on September 22th 1984, who then became Prince of Belgium in 1995.
The couple have five children and 1 granddaughter, all born in Belgium: Prince Amedeo (February 21st 1986), Maria Laura (August 26th 1988), Joachim (December 9th 1991), Luisa Maria (October 11th 1995) and Laetitia Maria (April 23th 2003). ArchDuchess Anna Astrid, was born on May 17th 2016 at Saint-Pierre University Hospital in Brussels.
